“It’s possible that my daughter would not be alive today if not for our local firefighters. My daughter has cerebral palsy, has little mobility, and total dependence on her wheelchair and on me. Over the years, 911 would be called for a variety of reasons, at times it would be a medical emergency related to her disability and at other times, if I was out shopping, she would simply fall out of bed, helpless and in need of assistance. Our property includes high walls and gates and firemen would often scale walls to get to her. It’s difficult to find the words to convey my appreciation to so many kind men and women.”
