Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada Win Five International Media Awards

The Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada (PFFN) are proud to announce that Las Vegas Fire Fighters Local 1285 and Henderson Professional Fire Fighters Local 1883 have both been awarded two International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Media Awards for their public safety campaigns. More than 250 entries were evaluated across all categories. 

The “Safe Pools Rule!” and “Check Your Seats in the Heat” campaigns were awarded first place in the Best Community/Education Outreach Project category, and the “Check Your Seats in the Heat” public service announcement received second place in the Best Affiliate Social Media Video category.

The “Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada Flipboard Newsletter” received an honorable mention in the Best Electronic Communication (E-Newsletters, Video Messages) category.  

“We thank the International Association of Fire Fighters for this acknowledgement. Our members do great work in our community, on and off-duty, across the state of Nevada, and we are grateful for the opportunity to highlight those activities through the IAFF’s Media Awards,” said Angelo Aragon, president of PFFN.
